On shop.atti.it, ATTI offers over 800 gear motors: NORD Drivesystems gear motors of various types and powers, along with related accessories and spare parts, and Minimotor gear motors for low power applications. Each gear motor is already complete with an electric motor, so it should be chosen directly based on the required output speed and torque.
How do you choose a gear motor?
To choose a gear motor, you need the required output speed (RPM), the necessary torque to move the load (Nm), the type of service, meaning hours of operation per day, starts, and shocks, which determines the service factor, the mounting position, and the output shape (solid shaft, hollow shaft, flange), as well as the motor power supply voltage. The selected gear motor must have an output torque greater than the required torque multiplied by the service factor.
What is the difference between a gear motor and a mini gear motor?
The difference is mainly in size and power. The mini gear motor is a compact gear motor for small powers, from a few watts to a few hundred watts, used in automatic machines, feeders, small conveyors, and equipment. The industrial gear motor covers higher powers, up to many kW, with standardized three-phase motors. On shop.atti.it, the mini gear motors are Minimotor and the gear motors are NORD Drivesystems.
