Trapezoidal-head screws

Trapezoidal-threaded screws are manufactured by turning or rolling, depending on the application requirements. The trapezoidal thread conforms to the UNI 2903 (DIN 103) standards.

The nut moves along the screw by sliding, which is why these screws are not suitable for use at high rotational speeds. Thanks to their unique profile, TPN screws can be considered virtually irreversible, a feature that is useful in many applications.

The screw-nut system has numerous applications, particularly when axial movement is required. The use of screws and nuts based on multiple principles makes it possible to double or triple the axial travel per revolution, thereby increasing the system’s travel speed.

Important note on lubrication:
To ensure proper operation and reduce wear on the lead screw/nut system, it is essential to always maintain a clean layer of lubricant between the contacting surfaces.
