Industrial chains: reliable and durable transmission
The industrial drive chains are designed to connect gears mounted on spaced shafts and distribute motion even to multiple loads from a single motor. Due to their robustness, they represent an ideal solution for industrial applications requiring high tensile strength and operational reliability.
Made up of side links, pins, and rolling bushings, the chains ensure long service life and precision. They are available in ISO (series B) and ASA (American series), as well as variants with double or triple row of rollers to increase load capacity.
To reduce friction and extend their useful life, the chains must be constantly lubricated. Special models with sealed lubrication and options for automatic lubrication systems are also available, minimizing maintenance interventions.

The designation of a roller chain identifies its main dimensions.
In the measurement 1/2" × 5/16":
- 1/2" indicates the pitch of the chain, which is the distance between the centers of two consecutive pins, equal to 12.7 mm.
- 5/16" indicates the internal width between the chain plates.
This measurement corresponds to the ISO 08B chain.
The most common European pitches are:
- 06B: 3/8" × 7/32"
- 08B: 1/2" × 5/16"
- 10B: 5/8" × 3/8"
- 12B: 3/4" × 7/16"
- 16B: 1" × 17.02 mm
- 20B: 1"1/4 × 3/4"
- 24B: 1"1/2 × 1"
Important: the chain, sprockets, and sprocket wheels must have the same pitch to ensure proper coupling.
