Trapezoidal Screws

Trapezoidal screws are manufactured through turning or rolling, depending on the application requirements. The trapezoidal profile conforms to the UNI 2903 (DIN 103) standards.

The movement of the nut on the screw occurs through sliding, which is why these screws are not suitable for use at high rotational speeds. Thanks to the particular profile, TPN screws can be considered practically irreversible, a characteristic useful in many applications.

The screw-nut system finds numerous applications, particularly when axial displacement is required. The use of screws and nuts with multiple principles allows for the doubling or tripling of the axial displacement per turn, thereby increasing the translation speed of the system.

Important note on lubrication:
To ensure proper functioning and reduce wear on the screw/nut system, it is essential to always maintain a clean lubricant layer between the contact surfaces.
