THK offers a wide range of solutions for LM linear systems lubrication, designed to ensure consistent performance and reduce component wear.
The available lubrication methods include: manual lubrication with a grease gun or hand pump, forced lubrication via automatic pump, and oil bath lubrication, ideal for heavy-duty applications.
In addition to lubrication systems, closing plugs for fastening holes are available, which prevent the ingress of dust and contaminants, parking brakes for linear guides, and a series of special treatments to enhance corrosion resistance and extend the life of components.
There are different types of grease that meet various needs, depending on the applications of LM systems.
Each series of balls is positioned at a contact angle of 45°, ensuring that the nominal loads applied to the LM carriage are uniform in all four directions (radial, reverse radial, and lateral), allowing the use of LM guides in all orientations. Moreover, the LM carriage can receive a well-balanced preload, increasing stiffness in all four directions while maintaining a low and constant coefficient of friction.
They are sold in cartridges compatible with the MG70 grease gun, which allows manual lubrication of THK sliders.
MG70 Grease Gun
This model of grease gun is capable of lubricating large and small LM guides by replacing specific nozzles.
Caps for Type C Guides
These are used to prevent dirt from entering the mounting hole grooves of the bars. They are not provided as standard but must be requested with each order.
MK-MKS Brakes
The carriages are usually free-running.
In the case of high inertia or high dynamic linear movements and vertical loads, the use of pneumatic or electric parking brakes is necessary.
