Motorized linear guides

THK motorized linear guides are actuators that integrate in a single compact unit the ball recirculation guide and the drive system, either with ball screw (VLA, KR, and SKR series) or with linear motor (GLM series). Compared to an axis constructed with separate components, they reduce the number of parts and assembly times while ensuring rigidity and precision. ATTI supplies them upon request for a quote.

The ball screw actuator is the most common solution: it offers good precision, high thrusts, and a low cost, making it suitable for most positioning applications. The linear motor actuator has no mechanical transmission components: it achieves higher speeds and accelerations, with high repeatability and without screw wear, but it comes at a higher cost. It is chosen when very rapid cycles or long strokes at high speeds are required.
